Message	and guage his response. Say, I want to meet in a police station parking lot if you feel comfortable with the deal. Write up a sales contract and ask him to sign it with at least one witness. If he will not agree to the meeting place and agree to sign sales contract, then shop elsewhere. Banks and financial institutions like Lexus have procedures whereby you could assume the loan by agreeing to keep the loan in house or finance with your bank. Either way, lenders are flexible. The guy could just be a KnuckleHead who doesn't know jackshit or ????
